How to Submit a Human Trafficking Block or Dispute

If you are a survivor of human trafficking, you can request that certain adverse items of information that resulted from trafficking be blocked from appearing in consumer reports we furnish. Note: This process is different from a standard dispute. It is a specific request to block trafficking-related adverse information under federal law.

How to Submit Your Request

What to include:

  1. Your Preferred method of communication for us to use to communicate with you about your request (phone, email, mail)
  2. Proof of identity
  3. Documentation showing a trafficking determination
  4. A clear list of the adverse items you want blocked

What To Expect After A Request is Submitted

If we have everything needed, Stellar Checks will block the requested information within 4 business days after receiving your complete submission.

If we need additional information to process your request (limited to certain items, like confirming identity or identifying the specific adverse items), we will notify you within 5 business days.

We will make a final determination regarding whether the submission is complete within 25 business days of receiving your submission.
